Our experienced staff will support teams in children’s residential homes to implement care plans, devise behaviour management plans, risk assessments and health plans, to ensure children and young people are cared for in the best way.
Our staff will ensure all children and young people’s files are kept up to date and any remedial action is taken promptly to ensure information held is accurate and contribute to the inspection process.
Our carers will supervise day to day physical and emotional needs of young people in accordance with their individual racial, cultural, religious, linguistic and dietary needs. Staff members will support young people to go to school, enjoy a variety of leisure activities, stay healthy and ensure they are safeguarded.
Our care workers will follow all policies and procedures of the home they are assigned to, including safe handling of medication to make sure young people receive any medicines at the right dosage and at the prescribed times.
We will ensure confidentiality of information in line with the Data Protection Act / GDPR.
Our support staff will provide day to day 24-hour care to a child and/or group of young people, specialising in challenges presented by physical or learning disabilities and learning difficulties.
Our team is committed and we work unsociable hours and shifts including weekends, nights and bank holidays.
Our care workers will assist with shopping, cleaning, cooking, personal care and hygiene and carrying out tasks any responsible parent would do. Our staff are competent and will engage in all administrative tasks including obtaining and recording of information, handling petty cash, activity planning and meal plans.
Our staff engage in physical activities and tasks including walking, jogging, running, sports and leisure activities with young people. Our team is experienced and will attend meetings, appointments (doctors, dentists and opticians), schools and social work offices if and when required.
Our staff team has a wealth of experience working with young people subject to Dols orders and young people from secure placements and also have experience in working with complex young people and young people who present extremely challenging behaviour.
