I also worked for Motorola in Germany for a year as part of my degree, my role was to investigate theft, loss and damage to all outbound logistics which I thoroughly enjoyed. I speak basic German and fluent in English, Punjabi and Urdu and able to read Arabic. I have a passion for caring for children and young people, developing them physically, emotionally and socially through education and role modelling behaviour, having witnessed many positive outcomes for many of the children, young people, adults I have worked with and cared for. I enjoy a range of hobbies and interests including fishing, hiking, swimming, playing snooker and relaxing in the spa. I also enjoy reading and learning more about my work as carer and management to further develop and improve myself in order to improve and provide more individual, child centred, therapeutic care. S. Hall – Support Worker
I have worked in several residential children’s homes , and I have more than 10 years of experience working with young people. I started my journey coaching young people in all different sports and then later decided to join a care team working in a residential care home taking care of young children who have come from broken homes and have had trauma and neglect mainly and I have worked with children that have migrated to the UK from war torn countries. My communication skills and being multilingual has helped me a lot some of the young people that have come into my care. I am currently a science teacher at a high school and this has always been my goal however after completing university I decided to stay in residential care full time for a couple of years to and it’s not just a job for me I take pride in what I do and I am passionate about helping young people achieve their goals as they may not have the opportunity like everyone else. Although I am currently a full-time teacher, I still want to continue working in a residential care home on a part time basis. I currently still coach junior teams at the cricket club I play for and that’s something I do voluntary. My hobbies include playing football and cricket, both are seasonal hence why I can play both.
